Ultimaker is a manufacturer of 3D printers. They have also created powerful cloud software for remote printing, and they sell additional materials for their printers. Founded in 2011, Ultimaker has experienced great growth as they are now the market leader in desktop 3D printing with over 400 employees globally.
At Ultimaker, Dynamics AX 2012 was previously implemented by another party. However, the roles and rights of users were not set up correctly, which led to many issues. Kaya then fixed all of these issues, e.g., by creating new groups, new rights, and documenting everything. We determined for all AX 2012 users what they could see and do in the system. Also, we regularly had to create new groups when access to parts of the system could not be blocked. As such, security was one of the focus areas during Kaya’s work at Ultimaker.
